IT Infrastructure and Services

The IEFR's computing facilities are being continuously upgraded to keep them is sync with faced paced advances in information technologies. The Institute believes that a modern IT environment for students, faculty and administration is absolutely essential to provide quality education. To achieve this objective, Institute is providing "State of the Art" computing and internet services with over 100 workstations, each being powered by Intel's core series processors with the latest operating systems and software packages. All workstations are interconnected, forming the Institute's Local Area Network (LAN).

The internet facility at IEFR is one of its prominent features. IEFR has both wireless and DSL internet connections. Fast internet connectivity plays an important role in facilitating the faculty and students for academic as well as Research and Development activities at the Institute. IEFR students avail the facility of free internet access from 7:30 am to 10:00 pm in the campus.


Expanded and updated classroom facilities are available in the campus to address anticipated growth in graduate and postgraduate level educational programs. All class rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with modern facilities of multimedia, over head& slide projectors, public address systems.

  Professional Skill Development Program

Professional Skill Development Center is a unique feature of the Institute. The center is responsible for arranging seminars, workshops, certificate level programs, short courses & external/internal training for senior and middle management working in industrial sector. Burning issues of different industries are being addressed in these seminars and workshops to benefits the engineering community. The major topics, which are covered during last 9 years are analytical techniques, energy & fuel conservation, chemical process improvement, marketing techniques and communication skills, human resources management, computer skills, environmental management system, modern instrumentation and process control, advance industrial electronics and automation.
