BS Tourism and Hospitality Management

  Program Educational Objective (PEOs)

The educational objective of the Tourism and Hospitality program is to have graduates with knowledge of;

  1. Basic Principle of Tourism and Hospitality: A broad foundation in Tourism and Hospitality that stresses scientific reasoning and analytical problem solving with Tourism and Hospitality perspective.
  2. Critical Research Behavior:Developing the working knowledge of instrumentation and techniques related to Tourism and Hospitality enabling to use skills design and conduct independent work.
  3. Ethical Knowledge and Team Management: An understanding of current ethical issues in Tourism and Hospitality and be able to apply ethical principles in industries/research sector. To provide a contemporary grounding in professional responsibility and job-related skills in order to work in multidisciplinary teams.

  Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

Our program learning outcomes indicates that at the time of graduation our graduates will demonstrate the following:

  1. Fundamental Knowledge: An ability to know, apply and critically analyze and evaluate concepts related to the Tourism and Hospitality.
  2. Problem Analysis: An ability to develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  3. Formulation and Solution: Apply the fundamental knowledge in Tourism and Hospitality in undertaking problems identification, formulation and solution with critical thinking.
  4. Investigation: An ability to investigate complex problems in Tourism and Hospitality field by methodical way including literature survey, design and conduct of experiments, analysis and interpretation of experimental data, and synthesis of information to derive valid conclusions.
  5. Modern Tool Usage: An ability to recognize and uses appropriate technologies, such as computer applications in Tourism and Hospitality management industry.
  6. Ethics: An ability to practice professional and ethical attitudes among society.
  7. Individual and Team Work: An ability to acquire personal characteristics and leadership, management, and human relations skills appropriate to professional practice in careers related to Tourism.
  8. Communication: Develop written and oral skills commensurate with the ability to summarize, evaluate, synthesize, and appropriately communicate scientific concepts to a variety of audiences.
  9. Project Management: An ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of technology management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member or leader in a team and to manage projects in multidisciplinary environments.
  10. Technologist and Society: An ability to demonstrate understanding of the societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to Tourism and Hospitality

  Admission Criteria

Candidates should have at least

  • 45% marks in HSSC (FA or F.Sc.) / Equivalent qualification
  • Qualifying the entry test. (KFAT, MDCAT, NAT, etc.)
  • 70% weightage to HSSC (FA or F.Sc.) / Equivalent qualification (Excluding sports and Hafiz-e-Quran)
  • 30% to Entry Test
